    If I hadn't bought a D300 I'd probably be all over this.

    D-Movie looks pretty cool.

    Where is Canon? :hsugh:

I hated the idea of D-Movie when I first heard about it.

But holy shit, that's pretty sick.

I don't know if i like the idea of movie mode. Makes it so P&S ish but I guess that's the way technology is moving so...can't say that it's bad even if it takes the whole "dedicated to photography only" feeling away.

I'd rather have it do movies when I need it :(

Who cares if it makes it P&S'ish

I'm more concerned with how much memory it's going to take to do so. :eek3:

I read somewhere it was 600 or 700 mb for a five minute movie.

Think about it. Its 24 pretty small pictures ever second. 60 seconds in a minute, 5 minutes. So you end up with 300 seconds x 24 frames = 7200 pretty tiny frames.

I laughed when so many people at first were like 'video on a DSLR? stupid' But no a lot of people want to try it out. I wouldn't use it often but if it doesn't take away from the camera itself and they can put it in there it seems like a no-brainer.

I just love the fact that Canon and Nikon are gonna be fighting more and more. All that's gonna do is make them develop new technologies so when my D70s breaks, I'll have much better options. Until then though, Im just concentrating on better glass and lighting.
