Found one with kit lens for $500. Is this a good deal or no?

Ya, it's not a bad deal. As we said in your original thread...I'd try to find a D70 and then you can invest in better class that you won't get rid of. But the D80 is certainly a capable camera without a doubt.

l33t will be in here any moment to tell you to get the 35mm and not the 50mm 1.8. :)

Yeah that's a pretty good deal. l33t will probably come in and tell you how much it sucks and to get a D90 + 35mm 1.8 instead (he says the 50mm 1.8 sucks)

That's my thinking. If I hate it, I can make my money back easily on ebay or here I'm sure so I'm not worried. Hopefully this one will work out unlike the last xsi I tried buying.

I sold mine almost a year and half ago for $550 (just body). Not a bad deal I'd say if it comes w/ the lens. :dunno:

yeah, it was owned by a professional/amateur photographer who supposedly took meticulous care of it. Just hoping this one works out unlike the last one.
