"If there is an EOS-1Ds Mark III - bating 'D3X' coming this year it will have quite a job to do to better the D3; possibly the most compelling, capable and well-rounded professional digital SLR ever made."

never since has nikon made such a nice camera. you can use it to drive tent stakes or just admire it. id rather have that than a plastic body camera.
too bad they cost the same as this d3.

All I know is that every single BIG sports shooter I know uses Canon, 95%+ of the wedding photographers use Canon, most studio work Ive seen is from a Canon...

For whatever reason though, the avast majority of GWC's use Nikon :coolugh:

And after looking at that review, theres a few things that are flawed.

They say the 1Ds MkIII only has a 5 stage battery indicator and that the D3/D300 have %left, shots since charge, and battery aging indicator.
Well I cant say for 100% sure but I know the 1D MkIII has all those things so I dont know why the Ds MkIII wouldnt.

Im not saying theyre bias or lying..but..it makes you think.

And way to leave out this quote

"What you can't deny is that the EOS-1Ds Mark III is setting new standards for the level of detail you can capture with a digital SLR; there's texture in this shot we've simply never seen before. If your overriding need is for huge, detail-filled files the Canon is peerless, but for less demanding enlargements you're not going to see the resolution advantage."

    How about this..

"Taking the in-camera processing out of the imaging pipeline reveals that, unsurprisingly, these two cameras produce results that are very, very similar. It's obvious from a close examination of the RAW output that the 5D has a weaker anti alias filter so produces marginally finer resolution and better 'per pixel' sharpness than the D3 at lower ISO settings, but to be honest once you've added a bit more sharpening to the D3 files (which they take very well) the difference is minimal, and you're certainly going to need to look very closely indeed - at a pixel level - to see it."

Sure you can sharpen it later, but we can all agree that its better to have it that way out of the camera (and for about half the price! lulz).

if you're going through the trouble of shooting with higher end equipment and worried about "per pixel" sharpness, why wouldn't you be shooting raw anyway? :ugh:
