I have like $ 200 in credit there from sending back the pos canon sd1100is, and am willing to put out another $ 100ish, so like a total of $ 300ish.

    Currently have:
    Nikon D90 w/ Kit Lens
    50mm f/1.8
    10.5mm f/2.8
    Lowepro Slingshot 200
    Spare Battery
    Wireless Remote
about 20gigs worth of memory cards.

    I need some suggestions :mamoru:
    oh, and 14-24mm f/2.8, 24-70 f/2.8, and 70-200 f/2.8 are coming in the spring ;) so don't suggest those :p

nah, the 50mm f/1.8 is cheap enough to keep.
id buy a 35mm f/2 before the 85, just cause i think i'd use the 35mm more often

flash on the other hand, sounds like a good idea guys :bigthumb::bigthumb:

You have a similar setup to me! I also think that I would love the 35 /2 but i also want a wide zoom like the tokina 11-16 or sigma 10-20. Getting the flash changed my photography. I LOVE off camera flash now

Yeah, I'd say flash would be your best bet. To be honest, if you shoot all manual with the flash (non TTL and off camera), I'd just go with a used SB-80(x) or two, if they have them in stock. It's basically the same thing as my 800 but 1/2 the price. The Sb-600 pisses me off cause it doesn't have the ports to plug the receivers on the side so i cant put it on a stand, whereas the 80 is like a film version of the 800.

no but you can still fire it wirelessly.

    I'd highly recommend SB600's over the sb-80

i've had a hard time getting my sb600 and sb-80 to play nice together off camera.

just gonna get another sb600 and sell the sb80 probably
