anyone have a 5200? I busted the screen on my S400, and I need a new ultracompact to supplement the big camera. Anyone tried the 4200/5200? I heard they're decent except the pics might be a little soft. Any truth to this?

i have one and i love it. Its my first manual camera. The pictures do come out soft sometimes. Great macro though.

Anything you can do about the soft pics? That really sucks. Although I liked my S400, I don't really want to buy another one (i.e. S410 or S500)

I was hoping the Coolpix 5200 is better than it is. But it sounds like its a good camera with a few fatal flaws: underexposure & soft detail. Sigh. Why, Nikon, why?

I'd opt to get the 5700, or even the 8.0 MP 8700. I have a 5700, and absolutely love it. It takes beautiful pictures.
