It takes soft photos and the zoom ring is way too stiff. Worst purchase evar.

JK, I don't have one :mamoru:

I've only read good things about it, personally don't have it. I'm gonna be picking up the cheaper AF 80-200 F/2.8 once refunds come back

I was debating between the two, but decided that I wanted VR @ 200mm. Might as well get the best rather then spend 2/3s of the best to realize i wanted VR. I can't wait though!

This completes my lense collection! Well, maybe I need a wide-angle....and a macro...ahh snap. :hs:

It's a good lens. Coupled with a good wide, you may only need 2 lenses for the majority of your shooting.

I've had mine since June. I've taken amazing pictures with it that will last me forever. If you are taking pictures of Autocross, the image quality will be well worth it and I'm sure it will pay for itself over time.

Dammnit B&H! They called my house phone to confirm my shipping location, but I never got the message. My lens is still sitting in their warehouse

I've ordered from B&H before and never had this problem :wtc:

I gave them my work number when I ordered the 85mm f/1.4. They called me, I answered, they shipped my lens overnight :hs:
