What's everyone's experience with these two, and how do they compare?

I've heard great things about both....so i dunno

I'm using a D70 and the kit lens right now, and trying to decide between one of these or another lens such as a 55-200..

Fuck!! you beat me. Anyway, I'd say go nikon because I'm in love with nikon stuff. Maybe not though, I dunno :noes: I'd get whichever is cheap and does the job as well as you need it done.

yeah the 70-200 is nice but i really wanted something for convenience and traveling, more of a do it all lense without losing too much quality. ...i usually would stick with nikon lenses but i've heard so many good things about the tamron that it's making it a hard choice....plus the tamron is like $150 dolllars cheaper...and then there's also the sigma 18-125...so :dunno:

    I use a D100 and a D70 and the Tamrom 24-`135. It's has a nice range and it's sharp. Go for it.
