You guys ready for this? :naughty:

Sorry about my absence for july/august. But I'm back now :)

Challenge starts on the 1st. :bigthumb:

As always, if you have any questions, or would like to be added to the challenge, send me a PM and I'll add you as soon as I can.

    Challenge ends 11/30/2008 12:59AM

    Link to Challenge: http://nikeplus.nike.com/nikeplus/?l=all_challenges,12717351

Nike+ Kit: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA365LL/C?fnode=MTY1NDA3NA&mco=MjI5Nzc (you don't need this if you have a NEW iPod touch or use the Nike+ wristband)

    Refurbished nanos: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APP.../wa/RSLID?sf=wHF2F2PHCCCX72KDY&nclm=Certified

Shoe pouch for non Nike+ shoes: http://www.grantwoodtechnology.com/shoepouch/

    NOTE:
You DO NOT need to purchase a Nike+ shoe. See Above
NOTE: Nike now sells a wrist band that does not require you to use an iPod or iTunes but still use the Nike+ website and participate in a challenge. Check your local stores (link) for information
NOTE: After you upload your run to your Nike+ page it can take a while for it to show up on the challenges page. Just keep that in mind.

I'm in it to win it this month! Giddy up.
I reckon everybody competing should open up their profile to show thier details too... somebody on there averaging 10 mins/km... thats walking pace!

Says the guy who runs a 6 minute mile. :fawk:

    :p

Hell if some poor bastard wants to put on 80 miles a month by walking they obviously have way too much time on their hands.

I'm in for this month (Garmin style) but I'll be lucky if I get in 20 miles... I need to try to let this planner facietis heal up a bit...

Definitely in. Running a Marathon on the 23rd.

The link above for the non-nike shoe pouch doesn't work. Anybody have experience with the pouch? Does it work alright?

Gotta buy new shoes, and I think I want to try some Asics or New Balance

  7. Running 6.5 miles tomorrow morning. Woo woo. Breaking my most recent PR of 6 miles. :o Should be painful. :)

As soon as this sinus infection passes I am going to start getting up 45min earlier to take a 30min run before I leave for class. I tried doing after school but I just cannot get the motivation. I hope getting it out of the way early will help me be more consistent and less reliant on coffee throughout the day.

Just got some new running shoes and plan to get some more songs onto the Ipod shuffle tomorrow. Hopefully i'll be running by Friday or Saturday.

Those of you that live in cities; what the hell do you do with your keys and stuff when you run?

I live in Chicago and I have 3 fucking keys to get back into my apartment. I am not crazy about leaving the house without my wallet or cellphone but I guess I can work with that. I'll absolutely have to bring my keys with though.

It was easier when I lived in the suburbs and could just leave my front door open w/out any worries.

Seems like a lot of work, but might be worth a shot. I get sick of holding them.

I live in Chicago, it gets too cold to wear shorts. I have trouble finding pants with an inside pocket or a pocket with a zipper.

I put my keys inside the Nike Armband. It was a pain taking them off and on the ring, so I made a copy.

I just saw this thread, and I have a cold, and I live in NY, but I'd like to get in on this for next month possibly.

Anybody have recommendations on cold weather gear? I'm talking 0˚ shit :o

Shit I would have been in if I found this earlier. How do your miles get logged?
