Cliffs on this shit? does the little nike+ sensor connect wirelessly, or do you need to wire it up to the actual iPod?

Also, for the sensor, and I just clip it to my shoe, or do I really need to get a pair of $200 Nike+ shoes?

Wireless, buy a shoe pouch/clip and you can use any shoes.

don't buy a pouch or a clip. I had one that was supposedly fail-proof, and it fell off my shoe in less than 6 months.

a better option: cut a hole in the tongue of your running shoe and put the sensor in there. sow it back up and you'll never lose it.

Depends on the Nano. 4th generation have built in receiver and 3rd need one, but both require a sensor. As far as shoes are concerned, you can buy Nike+ running shoes for <$100.

I bought an inexpensive 1g Nano off ebay the nike+ kit and a pair of Nike air pegasus shoes which are reportedly the Honda Civic of running shoes inexpensive and reliable.
