Silencer finally came in YHM Stainless Phantom QD 5.56 (Sorry Hoss)
I came in here to post that
Are those groups I spy?
Yeah they were all over the place to begin with, the barrel threading and POI shift of the can didn't affect the elevation, but windage was about 2 inches to the right. Took about 30 clicks to get it back to zero.
I wish we in WA had OR's gun laws. If Seattle disappeared we'd be a great state.
Short stroked huh? Usually you'll get a little more back pressure with a can. What ammo are ya using?
Have you tried any other ammo?
I would suggest trying other ammo. They may load it light, which would be my guess. If you've got a CAR buffer handy, I'd try that. Was the bolt locking back on the last round?
IF you need a CAR buffer to try, PM me.
No problem. I have a spare CAR buffer. I put a H buffer in my 14.5 middy. It didn't make any noticable difference, but it did leave me with a spare CAR buffer.
It's 19:31 here. It feels like 11:31. This shit is crazy.
AAC says specifically not to shoot Silver Bear?
Does it say it in the owners manual? If not fuck them, if it's that important and is a no-no then it should be in the owners manual.
How's it sound on a bolt gun Gooch? I've only shot the Phantom's on semi.
Have yet to take it outdoors, shot it at an indoor range and it is NICE. Going shooting with a buddy next week who has an M42K, will compare then.
My YHM Phantom machine manual says none of that, although it does say using water or any other medium will void the warranty on the can.
