I still think that they're next console will be sooner rather than later. They aren't going to announce a Wii HD is coming out next year because of what it would do to current sales.

While no, I don't think it's coming out next year but I still think it will be out sooner than he's making it sound.

If their next console doesn't have HD, consider them out of the hardware market.

There is no reason whatsoever to think it won't be 1080p.

it'll definitely be HD. They just mean that won't be the only upgrade.

by now a lot of people have HDTV's, especially after the digital TV switch.

    No, they won't.

For them, Beyond HD will be beyond 480p. (Also no 1080p games)

nintendo has so much money from this gen, they can build a console that makes you a sandwhich while yuo play.

there's no reason for the next wii to not have bluray and 1080p support

Actually they don't have a reason to make their next console actually powerful.

Look at the facts. They released a piece of shit that can compete technologically with the PS1 and it still sold millions. That and the fact that their pathetic loyal fanboys keep buying whatever garbage they make with little effort. :dunno:

By next gen, 1080p support will not cost nearly as much as the curren production does and while there is no reason for it not to have that, nintendo could very well leave it at 720p. That's all good and well, but the next wii will be HD, and Bluray won that battle. I'm willing to bet the next nintendo console will probably be atleast as powerful as the ps3 is now.

No doubt in my mind. Especially if they want to beat Sony who is going to be selling the PS3 for the next 7 years .

The Wii2 will probably come out along with the Gameboy Evolution (remember, the DS was not a Gameboy but rather a test) in ~2-3 years.

Sony is still selling the PS2 after 8 years. That is a huge piece of mind for customers.

yes but what he means by beyond HD is something like a new control scheme or new way to play games.

Also I have a feeling the wiihd2 will be a little bit closer to the ps4 and 720 just so they can get more ports this time and also because sony and microsoft might not risk going all out this time after losing so much money and seeing nintendo be so successful with a simpler platform. Both ps4 and 720 will focus more on ease of use.

Of course...nintendo is not giving up their motion control scheme. Expect perfect 1:1 motion in the next wii standard. Nintendo is going to have to match Natal and the Sony Wands and possibly surpass them.

the difference is, I like to play old sprite based games, but I can't stand playing old 3-D games. So PS1/2 is mostly fail to me, unless it's an RPG.

This is exactly what you fanboys said before the Wii was shown to the public. You were thinking it would be technically a bit behind PS3

    Stop being so foolish.

I can admit Sony does a lot of stupid shit but your innocense still makes me laugh.

no one said that years ago because sony never lost money and they never saw nintendo beating them and opening up a complete new market . Learn to read.

    Look how you contradict yourself.
If no new games have been to the PS2, then what does it say bout the SNES.

Plus, it is easier to find a PS2 on store, than a SNES.

If you want to play SNES games, just downloads some roms, if you want to play PS2 games, you are going to need a PS2 system.

The mass consumers are not pirates and dont know how to use emulators, also theres a ps2 emulator now so I dont know what your point is either.
