XD would be 5". it would be a car/range gun so i can keep the sig on my nightstand.

I'm also thinking about a p3at for concealed carry. any opinions on those?

    ACP, not GAP

I love the XD45, but have never shot one.

XD because I'm not a 1911 guy. And more rounds in a defensive gun > less rounds.

    Oh and P3AT is

    p3at is a must have

I'd take the XD for its capacity if I liked the way they shot.

I'm just a noob, but I never got the whole 1911 craze. I'd go for the XD, personally.

Either is a good choice. Shoot both and get what feels the best in your hands.

Have you owned or shot one before? (1911)

It isn't a craze or a fad, it's simply just one of the best pistol designs ever made.

1911 because they fit everyones hands so nicely plus the trigger on them is light and crisp

So what do you make of the Browning Hi Power? A design that JMB called an improved 1911? :noes:

That sucks, should be able to bring things back, My dad had told me had a couple things he was going to bring back from Vietnam then they changed the rules while he was over there, ended up just bringing back a belt buckle and a couple hats.

1911's are pretty nice, but it really depends on the person. Capacity shouldn't really matter that much because if your going to carry a gun you should be able to shoot it, and if you can't get the job done with a few shots you shouldn't be shooting.
