    I've already got, an 870 20ga, .243 deer rifle, MKIII 22/45 .22lr, S&W model 19 .357 mag, and a G19.

I have convinced my wife that if she gets a new couch, i should get a new gun...but what should i get? Part of me wants another handgun, maybe in a different caliber...but part of me wants an AR also.

Give me some recommendations...and those who say AR, other than bargain bin, what is the next cheapest/best way to go?

Lets try to keep this as cheap as possible. Her couch will be around $800, so it needs to be less than that for sure.

hand guns are boring, time for a semi auto rifle. as far as cheap ar other than bargain bin, that'd depend on what you wanted it to do

I would want it for target shooting (practice), home defense, and eventually as a trunk gun for LE (trying to get into the academy now).

I like the idea of a 4 rail FF handguard, and hate the A2 style sights. I could deal with the A2 front sight, but would prefer a flat top with flip up type sights. Are either of those an option in the bargain bin?

Next best cheap AR is probably an M&P15.

I'd get an AR before the political climate takes a turn for the worst if a dem is elected

I have seen a few posts that show bargain nin AR's with an optional 4 raill FF handguard. Where is this an option? Do you have to email them, or call in the order? Is it an option on both the chrome lined and non lined versions? How big a deal would be not getting the chrome lined barrel? This is really freaking tempting.

Also what are the best AR mags for the money, and where to get them from?

I shot a couple different AKs recently and really wasn't all that impressed. I DID however take a liking to the Saiga .410 he had...if only it were a 12 ga.

They do make them in 12ga ;)

I vote for an AR or other semi-rifle. Handguns are fun but rifles are more fun.
