yes look for more news around 30OCT2009 and a release date of early Nov.

BTW I agree, the HTC Touch Pro sucked and the Pro 2 wasnt much of an upgrade.

It has 16gb MiniSD card included, wifi, and GPS (unlocked for now).

I have read while the processor is fast, the OS is still buggy so a lot of reboots / lock ups. The camera while it has a flash sucks and takes forever to load and the media player is pretty poor. I think after the software get's some patches and more developers put stuff out it can't really match the i-phone. I'm debating waiting for the storm 2 or getting it since my 3 y/o BB is on it's last legs and I'm on the company verizon plan.

I've heard good things about the droid.. will definitely be the next best thing coming to verizon. Saw a pic of the HTC eris or something like that. I wanna know when At&t will come out with an android phone to compete with the iphone!

my droid rocks have had 0 problems with it, most errors ppl see are from running apps that are ment to be run on android 1.5-6 that havent been updated to work correctly on 2.0 which launched with the droid....

also just got my storm unlock code so that bitch is going on ebay or if someone here wants it

Got my Droid on Sunday. It's been great. Not as smooth as the Iphone interface; but, the next closest thing. The only negative I have so far is that is doesn't sync up with my workplaces secure email through Novell Groupwise. I was able to sync up all my contacts with facebook so everyone has a photo when they call (something I had to do by hand with my old BB). I use google calender etc... a lot and it was nice to have everything integrated together.

Picked up a Droid last Friday and so far soo good. The navigationa, aside from the somewhat lacking voice prompts, is just fucking awesome. No problem synching with with my Exchange email, calendar and contacts.

I picked up the Droid last night. I have gone from a Nextel PTT phone (i730), to a Samsung Rant (nothing special), to the Droid. I feel old.......going to have to spend some time sitting on the crapper, trying to figure out how to do stuff. :)

There is also an issue with not being able to accept meeting requests. Other than the few minor application problems it is a rockin phone. Been waiting for this one for a while.

If the phone is anything like the HTC My Touch it's garbage.
