What does the Macshack use for news readers? I'm really new to the newsgroup thing, but I'm wanting to try it out.

ive also heard of SuperNZB which apparently unrar's your files once they are done, so thats one less step for you to do, but i havent used it yet.

hm i cant really seem to find anything that i want... at least through unison. say i wanted a track by deadmau5. what would be the best way to go about getting that? i hope i can ask that here...

also, does simply "previewing" something count towards your download limit?

newzbin is pretty much the search engine standard, but you gotta pay
yabse.com is good for harder to find stuff, it's also free
nzbsrus.com is where i get a majority of new releases

those are the 3 i use for the most part

oh and newzxxx.com for the naughty stuff. its run by the same people as newzbin.com so you use the same login and password, but it's free downloads :naughty:

 yeah ive used that a couple times :o

i pay for newzbin, and am happy for the most part. but sometimes i cant find things and i dont know if its just because they arent in any of the groups or if newzbin doesnt have it indexed.

download unison. then head to usenet.com and sign up. after you sign up, and after you have downloaded unison, run it, and type in news.usenet.com as the server, and it will check it. after it checks, put in your user name and password and youre good to go.

Most ISPs host their own newsgroups as well. At least Time Warner does.
