Platinum MMA I believe it's called. Opened up sometime in 2008 in a 6000 square foot facility in the new Golds Gym.

Costs $78 a month for a membership and that includes full access to everything Golds has to offer.

Sounds like a great freaking price, gonna have to go check them out and see if it's half decent.

I remember a couple years ago I was looking for a BJJ gym in London and there was only one school with a blue belt

Not saying blue belts can't teach beginners but paying $80+ for just a blue didn't seem very good

    looking at the instructor page:

Trevor Ziegler – Trevor is the owner of Platinum and has 16 years experience in martial arts training and fighting. He was the Canadian National Jiu Jitsu Champion in 1998 and the youngest person in Canada to earn the rank of Jiu Jitsu Master (awarded by the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Association) at just 18 years of age. Trevor holds a black belt ranking in Jiu Jitsu (4th Degree), Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, and Combat Kempo. He has trained locally as well as at the Miletich Camp in Iowa. He also has a black belt in Military Unarmed Combat and spent several years as a Military Police officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

sounds like a lot of TMA and his military training, no BJJ :hs:

regardless, gonna go check it out for a few classes. Might turn out good :dunno:

Besides, the 24/7 Golds Gym membership is probably ~50 a month by itself, if not more. So less then 30 a month for classes isn't too bad

you most definitely should. you have nothing to lose. i'm just very wary of instructors who list credentials like that.

yeah it's out near the Costco down there, right beside Value Village. Makes for an easy stop on the way home from work. Just get off the 401 at Wellington instead of Highbury.
