I finally picked up my USP yesterday. Its a full size .40S&W with night sights. Of course, me being my impulsive self, I went straight to the range to break it in. The trigger is a lot better feeling than my friend's USP, so i guess ymmv. The DA pull blows compared to the SIG, but the SA pull is nice and crisp. Accuracy is awesome, well beyond my capabilities :hs:

Right now is variant 1. I'm left handed so i'll be switching it to variant 2 whenever I have the time to find the part(s). No LEM trigger mod.

Nope, it's black, 100% German. It's not the newest gen so the rail is pretty much worthless(if that's important to you)

the only thing i hate about the USPs is that the high cap mags are so damn expensive. i bought a USP for 500 with two 10 round mags. thought i was getting a good deal. by the time i finished buying high cap mags, i didn't get a good deal at all:wtc: oh well, live and learn.

Anyone have any good recommendations for holsters? I can't conceal carry in Cali, so it'll be something that I can clip on the outside of my belt...

The 9mm and .40 are usually a little cheaper. I'm just burned that factory .45's are so tough to find and for less than $45 if you're lucky. The USP45f is/was a great shooting gun, but there's no reason for the mags to cost that much.
