Ok I'm still learning my way around a mac and have some questions regarding using a browswer

how do you ctrl + click to select given fields in a box? I am able to use shift + click to select a group of fields.. but i can't ctl+click to select given fields (i guess they're called fields)

i cant use 'tab' to move around areas of a web page.. for example..when logging into a site.. I normall type the username.. hit tab..then type the password .hit tab.. then press enter to log in.. but on my mac.. tab brings me back to the location bar.

i also can't ALT+S to post on OT :wtc:

I'm using firebox and mozilla. .. are there any work arounds for this stuff? :sadwavey:

And the tabbing between fields is something that is buggy between browsers. Theres no reason it shouldnt work the way its supposed to, it just doesnt for some reason.

this is because at present, Safari only supports tabbing through fields, but not buttons, pulldown menus, checkboxes, radio buttons, etc. like IE does. Hopefully they'll add the option with v2.0

If you go to System Preferences -> Keyboard there should be an option to turn on Keyboard access. This will let you tab through buttons and shit on Cocoa applications

damn, I didn't know that full keyboard access was upgraded to select all widgets (IIRC 10.2 was pretty finnicky about what it considered something you could select) but you say that doesn't translate over to safari?
