How was everyones 2009? Any New Year's resolutions?

I had a pretty good 2009, debuted in mma and went 2-1 this year. moved to the beach right near the gym. just enjoying life in general.

My New Year's resolution is to get back into the gym. Haven't been to the gym in 2 months because I wanted to take a break and heal some old injuries on my neck and back. They feel a lot better now, so I definetely will start training again. Unfortunately I gained a lot of weight, I am walking around at 175 with a belly, no more abs :wtc:. I ate too much and drank too much, but whatever it was well worth it. 2009 I ate like a rabbit and missed out on hanging out with good people because I didnt feel like going to the bars.

So yea, diet and training is my goal and if my coaches let me, fight in April or May :)

I had a pretty good New Year. Got married, traveled to a few places, got settled in my new house.
My new year resolution would be get back to the gym or stop drinking. Neither of those are happening so i wont bullshit myself

Glad you had a good year bros. Mine was good too. I dont make resolutions - I'm just going to try to make this year better than last and the next better than the previous. Keep climbing the ladder of life and see where it takes me. More gym time, more boat time, more wife time, less work and more money. The American Dream.

    Happy New Years to everyone.

Good shit. Graduated college after god knows how long. Landed a job in Chicago after a long summer of bumming out, so I'm pumped for that.

Got a kittah who entertains me thoroughly, and have just been feeling good overall. Haven't found ANY decent Muay Thai schools within reasonable distance to my new place...but 2010 is the year I hope to get into a new gym, rebuild my striking as it has gone to shit, and hopefully get a few fights in. Some real money will be nice for a change too.

Feels nice to be back in school, im in much better shape than i was at the beginning of the year, i hooked up with some pretty hot chicks this year.

As for the new year, i'm going in January to look for a bjj gym, hopefully cut down to 140 and compete in a tournament by the end of the year.

Want to get abs back visible at 165+
Want to continue to work on my purple belt.

    That's pretty much it.

2009 wasn't the best or worst I've had. Plan on making 2010 the best yet.

I can't really complain, I have a job I love. Have a few plans in motion for more $$ next year will see how it all works out.

2009 was pretty rough for me. Broke up with a GF of 5 years and had to learn how to be single again. It was all worth it though. I am happy again.. I made some really good friends that I hope to keep for a long long time. I learned how to enjoy life and tried not to dwell on the past.

2010 will be better. I want to get my BJJ to another level and includes working on my fitness. Going to Braza in Jan so I am starting the new year off right. Happy New Years to all.

    Rough :(

2009 was alright for me. Broke up with gf of close to 5 years a few shortly before 2009 started so I spent a few months at the start of 09 re-adjusting to single life and trying to get her out of my mind. Ended up becoming good friends with some people that I hope will continue to be there for me.

2010 will be similar. Work hard and hopefully get more recognition at my job and a possible move to a different department. Hopefully find another girl that is worth my attention. I don't think I'm too cut out for the single life. I'm such a woman when it comes to that :o

Mine was okay, albeit, very boring. Community college is a bitch to get classes for so I ended up with only one (calculus) last semester. I had two four hour school days a week. Couldn't find a job cause no one wants a stupid 16 year old, and all my friends had classes. I was pretty much just bored out of my mind on weekdays. Kinda wanna join the military now after college (maybe even during), but that'll probably end up as one of my many fleeting dreams. I keep telling myself I'll regret it if I don't cause I'm only eligible for so long, but my grandfather and uncles, the ones who inspired this dream with their epic stories, disapprove. I haven't spent money for 2 months (with exception of bjj class fees) because I'm trying to save up for a motorcycle. I'd much rather get a car, but those are too damned expensive for someone with odd jobs as a main source of income.

    cliffs: Average quarter life crisis.

Need to find a new coach somewhere in the local area to continue training sometime soon.
Satisfied with my current grounds, already set more time to do work this year though.
