Srsly. Im in love with anchoring. Its so easy and the possibilities are just about fucking endless. I already have 2 more locations planned for in the next couple weeks.

This was fairly easy to do though a tiny bit less comfortable than when i did the madison. It was cool that this time i was able to watch myself being pierced though. This one bled like a motherfucker though..we were holding pressure for quite a while and I still had to do residual cleanup throughout the entire first day. The left side bruised a little bit and the right side is kind of weepy 2 days later. Ive covered it with a tiny square bandaid just the right side to prevent my hoodie from leaving little cloth deposits on it while its weeping. The left is doing great and is uncovered.

    Anyway..i love this look. :)

First pic is kinda bloody since it was taken about 3 hours after.

Looks :coold: How worried are you about it latching onto clothing and stuff? How long to fully heal?

I'm a little more aware of what Im doing with it being on my wrist as its much more likely than the madison to snag. However, im wearing a 5mm flat gem and the rise on it is so very slight that its not as likely to get caught as opposed to slightly higher profile jewelry. These do really well.

The expected healing time before I can safely change gemstones is 2 months.
I am, besides a very slight amount of tenderness on the left side that bruised, already comfortable though.

I just have to ask, how do you change it out?? I know it's not like a regular piercing that has an entrance and exit hole....

I like this link better. The dermal anchor they posted in audrey's link looks nothing at all like what what placed in me. :)

    http://www.pierceit.co.uk/piercing_info/dermal_anchors

As for the question of removal, it is a "permanant" piercing which means that when im ready to remove it, it will have to be pierced out. This isnt as big a deal as it sounds; they simply make a piercing hole beside it and "unbutton" it out of my skin.

after i got my nipples done, i asked the piercer about dermal anchors, and he looked at me like i was retarded. :ugh: "what do you want to do, suspend yourself from hooks?"

i hightailed it out of there.

Yesss, that's what my jewellery looks like too:mamoru:

I might print it out and carry it in my wallet. I get asked several times a day "how do you get that there?" "omg! it's a piercing!"

Ok, so now I'm really confused. First you say you can safely change the gemstone in 2 months but the piercing is permanant???

Ahh, never mind Cherryfire. I'm assuming you have an anchor like the ones in the link you posted. Those look like they can be changed as oppesed to the ones in the link that Audrey posted.

The anchors have interchangeable tips on them. You can get spikes, diamonds, gems, flat discs, beads, etc.

That I'm not quite sure. I have no experience with anchors. Two Toys or Cherryfire would be a better person to ask.

I'll check with my piercer this afternoon. He did say to me when I got my anchor that I probably wont be able to change the jewellery. Maybe because mine in 16ga?

It shouldnt be difficult to find threaded gem ends at 16 gauge. If he cant find them, I would check around for him or refer him to Industrial Strength's website. Granted you're across the pond, it shouldnt be difficult to find a threaded top for that in 16.
