New way to eat v. Peanut butter

    Usually I spread my natural PB on a slice of whole grain toast, but sometimes I just cannot afford the extra cals and carbs from the toast.... But I love PB.
    Just the same, I am not crazy about putting spoonfuls of PB into my mouth.

    Take a jar of PB and throw it in the fridge for a day so it can get kinda hard and easier to work with. Get a large cookie sheet and place aluminum foil on it. Take the PB jar out of the fridge and start start scooping it out with a spoon (1-2 teaspoons each) and roll it in your hand. It should form into a nice ball. Place the ball on the foil sheet.
    Get some natural chocolate syrup and put a very small drizzle or dab on the top of each ball and throw it into the freezer this time for about 2 hours.

    I call them PB-balls and you can just keep them in the freezer. Once they are frozen just pull them out and throw them into a plastic bag or tupperware. They are easy to eat and kinda crunchy. It almost tastes like eating a reeses cup, but MUCH MUCH better for you with none of the sugar and additives.

    Good for desert, high in protein, high in monounsaturated fats.

    A lot of work?

    Shit took me 5min tops. You just roll PB into balls and throw it on the sheet into the freezer.

    But yeah, if you like spooning it in, then keep at it. That is easier and faster. I just don't like how I need to drink like 4 glasses of water after spooning it in.

    I just use the low sugar stuff or whatever. Besides, you only put a dab on the PB ball so all in all you could eat like 5 PB balls (2tbsp worth) and get an only extra 40 cals from the chocolate.

    They make a low sugar kind. Tastes fine and is lower in cals and def. lower in carbs/sugars.

    I think there's also a big misconception about the proper serving size of PB.

    Most sandwiches I see have about 3x the serving size.

    So this might have been a bad idea.

    I cannot stop fucking eating these things :rofl:

    I have already had like 3 tablespoons worth, which is like 300 calories and 21g of fat just purely from PB... and I am cutting :hs:

    my natural pb is liquidy even when refridgerated... and i bet if i tried rolling refridgerated skippy into balls with my bands, i'd just end up with a shitload of pb all over my hands.

    That is why you refridgerate it first.

    I had some PB on my hands by the end, but as long as you work with it while it is cold you will be fine. It washed off in the sink within 5seconds.

    fyi those with real natty PB you should probably mix the oils into the peanut butter, then put it in the fridge

    i do similar

    PB doesn't completely freeze any time fast so i just scoop a 1/2 freezer bag full of PB and a few scoops of choc whey protein then shake, freeze and take out as needed as snack.

    then when i got smarter i just used empty PB jar and scooped in some whey, threw in some PB shook jar, threw in freezer, done then spoon out when needed

    freezer doesn't make PB completely hard before i get it all eaten anyway, no idea how long it'll take to be a frozen brick of PB though so if maybe don't make a ton at once unless you ball it up as original post said

    So you mix it with chocolate whey too? That is a good idea. I should try this to get in some more protein to counteract some of that fat.

    As for getting hard in the freezer. After about 2 hours it was sorta hard, but still pliable. After a good 4-5 hours it is pretty damn hard, but if put in your mouth it gets pretty soft again in ~ 10seconds.

    you guys don't know about making sludge? take a scoop or 2 of chocolate whey and put it in a bowl, then add just enough water to dissolve the powder. It should be of a pretty thick consistency when you're done mixing, if you add too much water you will ruin it. Then take 2-4 tbsp peanut butter, more is better but you can use less if you want to keep the calories down, and stir it into the bowl until it is completely mixed and smooth. Then throw it in the freezer for an hour or so, take it out and eat with a spoon. it's good.
