I guess common sense still has yet to prevail. When the fuck are the tards in AF leadership going to realize you can't just have a flat waist measurement with absolutely no regard to height?? I mean, jesus fuck, that should be basic fucking knowledge that someone that's over 6' tall is going to have a bigger waist than a 5'5" fucking shrimp. I mean fuck, really? They pay these fucking 4 stars $13k a month to sign off on this kind of bullshit? Seriously? 10 more years God, 10 more life sucking years.

Its all about conforming to the system of course...do it our way...our FUBAR way...or the highway. Now that the economy is so poor they can also be more selective with recruitment weight standards as the recruiting pool is larger. Get used to it cuz things arent going to change.

I really don't see the big deal. Just play the game by its rules, and the rest of the year is yours.

    I read it several times.

"Height and weight are not factored into the composite score."

Which tells me that yes, you can't get a perfect score unless you have a 32.5" waist measurement.

And I'm telling you read it again....perhaps you should actually read the scoring chart.

When I was in: how can I have low risk(10:30min run) and be high-risk(38inch waist) at the same time? Anyways personally I don't think it makes any sense. Especially if I could run and do push ups and situps just fine but I like beer and breakfast buritos(damn you Arizona).

USCG has the eaisest PT requirements.

Standard < 30 males need to do 29 pushups, 38 situps and either run 1.5 miles in 12.51 or less OR swim 500 yards in less than 12 mins.

Special Units have modified PT... but it is still kinda easy. ASTs have the worst PT requirements. Not totally sure but I know it is hardcore including a 50 yard underwater swim.

lol the Bike test was so much easier...I remember when we had to fight to get time off work for PT. When we got our hour off early 3 days a week we were so happy. Now everyone cries because of mandatory PT.

It was an 8 min ergo test on the bike. You would get your heartrate up based on age/gender weight or some shit. Then they put the resistance up and you have to remain in that rate...it could go up but it needed to settle back down into the range

then you could get your V/O or whatever it was.

    was simple

Its about fucking time. I'm sick of seeing fat (usually E-6 and above) fuckers skate by because they know the PTL that's testing them or kill themselves once a year to pass the test. I know the Air Force has the least stringent physical standards but shit, you shouldn't have a huge gut and look like shit in your blues! /end rant

I know a guy over here who lets just say looks like peter griffin (family guy) and they are looking to kick him out though he has been in ten years.

He does his job great and always gets off his ass to do the work not just make his troops do it. He has a job that he has to get off his ass a lot, not some office job.

Though because of his weight he is looked down upon. While we are super skinny young guys on the same job who cry whenever you ask/tell them to do something.

who cares what he looks like, we have a job to do and the over weight guy is all about getting it done right and since he and I have different jobs but we sort of work together. He has taught me a great deal.
