I'm debating between a RRA 24" varmint A4 upper (1:8) and a Remington 700PSS. Advantage of the upper is it's cheaper and uses ammo that I already have; I can slap it on my lower and go. The 700 is more accurate, effective to a longer range, and fires a bigger bullet. Purpose of the rifle would be to put holes in paper and for the zombie invasion.

Voted for the RRA since that's the option I'm looking at. I would like the
Rem 700 but I don't really look forward to the initial investment and ammo
costs vs. throwing on a new upper and using my old entry upper for clearing my
    stairs during zombie attacks.
