I came across this CSS compressor and it did wonders for my site's loading speed! http://iceyboard.no-ip.org/projects/css_compressor

I'm using Joomla and the template I'm using had a really spaced out and "puffed" up template_css.css file. After I made the changes I wanted to the template, I ran it through this optimizer and it shaved off 60% of the size! It's freakin amazing but it really helped speed up my site's initial loading time.

I know lots of times, when we're writing CSS files, it's easier to space things out, leave lots of white space, write notes, etc. to make future editing easier. get rid of that crap when you're done!

    check it out. :wavey:

Maybe if you're on dialup... the results of this are probably negligible, in the few tens of bytes

I would agree with you if I hadn't seen the results with my own eyes. plus, I was dealing with a rather large CSS file anyways.
