switching over from the domestic side.

I have been driving domestic "hot rods" for as long as I could drive.

Now delving into the dark world of VTEC. Oh what a gutless world it is. At least the car is nice :)

They had literally 25+ TL-s's at the only acura dealer in baton rouge and not one of them was a 6-speed...nice looking cars, but for that price, I'd way rather buy a RWD car like the IS350 or G35.

I'd pick the G35 well before the lexus.....RWD wasnt an option for me... FWD or AWD. The infiniti dealership just didnt price the G35X where I wanted them to, and I liked the Acura a ton more.

OH so that's what the TL-s is - are the four exhaust pipes a factory option or what? Our honda accord euro's only come with 2

The dual dual tips are factory. They are huge and I could live without them.

No burning reason.... someone really wanted my car.... and I wanted to try something "nice", so I went for a sport luxury car. I also wanted a hint of practicality so I also opted for a 4dr car

I have always liked the TL-s.
Never driven one, but they look like a great daily driver. Probably be perfect with a positive disp supercharger to help with the nonexistant TQ.

Welcome to having a car that's good for more than stoplight racing. You'll get used to holding the revs above 3000 in due time, and if you ever miss the torque, you can console yourself by looking at the gas mileage meter.

Sadly the Camaro beat if not matched the TL-S in gas mileage so far. I havent even floored it in the TL yet either.

You can get away with a lot in the TL. I had an '05 for 2 years and got rid of it last year. Nice car but they have some quality control issues. That's the problem with the car not being made in Japan IMHO. The TL will also hold it's value a lot better than the camaro did.

nice car. hope you didn't expect the same kind of power out of the acura as your camaro, which it seems a little like you did. :nono: very different approaches to generating power. and i don't think there's any honda that will feel as powerful as your car. and what a 180, chevy camaro Z28ss to a glamorized honda accord with a few extra horses. i like the TL's though, they're nice cars. but i would have spent a lot of time testdriving its competition before finally settling on it.

I definitely didn't expect LS1 power, there is more than enough in the TL to satisfy me though.

I looked at the competition.... didnt care too much for anything else except for the G35X... but in the end the TL was the preference. Glamorized Accord or not, the accord is a nice platform to build off of and in the end the Acura is definitely worth its price.
