im looking at the 12' ibook, for school, wondering if anyone has any input on this. Im going to use it for the basic typing of papers, aim, and internet. should i worry about any compatibility issues with printers etc.

most printers, at least USB printers, have the drivers preinstalled and should work when you plug it in. just make sure you choose to install them when you first get your machine.

It's the perfect computer for your needs. Don't bother waiting for the intel chips if you want one now.

i run both osx and windows on my ibook. i am in a networking program and have had no problems running programs or printing in any of the campus labs with my ibook. my ibook is actually easier to setup for printing than the windows machines. 30 seconds for me, 15 minutes for them.
