Does it matter what brand of whey I get? What are your suggestion?

Also, how often should one consume whey on a daily/weekly basis (I'm 135 and 5'3)? I heard they can cause liver/kidney disease so I'm a little worried about too much consumption.

Dymatize, Optimize Nutrition are two brands I personally like. Go with chocolate at first, as that's usually preferred by most people.

I take in 4 scoops a day currently. I have been using whey since I've been 16 years old almost every day of my life, 21 now.. No liver or kidney problems. That shit is b/s.

Why do you think you need a whey protein?

I want more lean muscle and burn more fat. I exercise moderately but Im not a hardcore diet guy. I thought whey can better build muscle for me without having to consume the fats associated with meat products

Im not in a position to choose what I eat. I just eat whatever is available or starve. I figure whey is the best way for me, on a consistent basis

if you are in a "position" where you can't choose to eat...and you want to supplement it with just a whey? I'd just grab a weight gainer mix in your case over whey...put some pounds on.

just look out for soy protein in your whey.. might as well count it as a carb... you also want a low carb and low fat whey other than that brand doesnt mean shit. (normally high fat whey is less quality through processing)

Whey is pretty much all the same. MRPs and isolates are different.
