C-Tac is what I use for my 29/30 and my P99 I'm quite satisfied with it.

There is no better IWB holster than a CTAC or a VM2... just decide if you want leather or kydex, and if you want to wait 3 days or 6 months.

I carry my G27 in a Galco NSAII and really like it. It's very slim so it's still comfortable when driving (at least short distances). It doesn't have a reinforced mouth so it is more difficult to re-holster, but I'm more worried about getting the weapon out than putting it away ;)

I think the general opinion is that the CTAC Comptac and Milt Sparks VM2 are the best out there. That said, I have seen nothing but great reviews on the UCH you posted.

I have a VM2 and it is extremely comfortable. I also intend to pick up a UCH just to try a smaller profile holster and see how it feels and holds my gun (Sig 226).

If you order directly from Milt Sparks you will wait. If you look around there are a number of places that get them in stock periodically. Also, a VM2 will run you almost double the cost of a VM2.

I like my CTAC. No wait ftw and it's adjustable.

I like the CTAC, but it was a little uncomfortable at times. I blame my weight. It seems to be more comfortable for me now.

Soy, was it you that suggested that IWB holster with the "Fin" that pressed the butt of the gun in towards your side? What holster was that again?

    Alessi PCH. I think.

If it had listed that little gimik :)o) with any other holstermaker behind it, I would have called BS, but Alessi knows what he's doing..

Alessi hideout, currently $110 + $7 shipping. The picture doesn't show the curve well from this angle though.

I've never tried a VM2 but the hideout conceals a p226 under a tshirt better than my tucker answer does the smaller P99 so I prefer it.

If you've got any weight around the stomach, or love handles, chances are kydex is going to be very uncomfortable for you.

If you want leather, minus the 6 month wait from Sparks, FIST makes pretty good holsters that you can get in around a month. www.fist-inc.com

This is the problem I have with the CTAC. It's definately getting better as I lose weight (25lbs as of today :o). I'm going to try the Alessi stuff (that's a long ass wait though).

As a word of warning ask about the hideout, I bought this one used and I've seen some pictures of them coming with a snap behind the hammer and a solid belt loop instead of split. The belt loop I don't care about, but I don't want any retention straps personally. I don't know if the snap is new/old/custom.

I'll make sure to tell him no retention. Thanks :wiggle:

Taste? No. I'd rock an Alessi or Sparks any day of the week and twice on Sundays. I lack patience. 6 months I've been waiting on a gun, and that ain't pleasant, and if it was just a gun accessory, I'd be fucking ill.

that's exactly the way I feel. I have the CTAC to hold me over now until I can get something really nice (that takes 5 months :wtc:)
