how come lots of dirt bike rider thinks that sport bikes are the same?? i mean they say they got 4-5 yrs of dirt bike experience and they are ready for a 600 or a liter bike.... arent dirt bikes ridden very differently from standard road bikes?? :hs:

I never rode anything except my Dyno VFR bmx before I started on a Honda CBR600F3. IMO, if you take things slowly and don't push yourself (other words, do stuid shit) too hard on the first few weeks, you should be fine. Just don't PM me when you lose your legs, I'm just telling you how I felt when I started.

An F3 is much different than an R6.

I hadn't posted on here yet, but I did the squidly thing and made an impulse buy on a new 04 R6 last week. If you are new to bikes, these things are just deadly. Unless you are very responsible and have a HUGE amount of respect for the bike you will probably hurt yourself. The new R6s have a ton of power and will pick up the front wheel very easily for a 600 ... if you're not smooth with the throttle and clutch you can easily pop a wheelie under 8000rpm. Don't be stupid like me ... at least go with an SV, if not a GS500 or EX500.

you should check out the ZX636R... it lifts even easier in first and second plus it doesnt turn-in like a truck.

i rode the '04 GSX-R600, '04 R6, '04 CBR600RR, and the '04 ZX636R. I ended up choosing the ZX636R, and my gf bought it for me two days ago for an early b-day gift.
