It uses some of the concepts from the DS version, but it is a new, different game. 4-player co-op. :eek3:

    :ugh:

Look, I'll jump on the "Wii sucks" bandwagon any day, but assuming a game sucks because the platform is weak is just stupid. The Wii has some solid games and New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which is not in any way a port, looks to be one of the best games on the system yet.

Looks awesome, would play if I still had the Wii :wiggle:

Interested to see if Sonic Team take note of how well this will do. I'm guessing no.

    ha...yeah right.

They'll say "A new sonic game along the lines of New Super Mario Bros...." then something like "with a spintacular twist"......and they'll have one side scroller level that looks like the first game that they'll show in all the promos, then the sky will turn dark, and the game will go all blitzed out 3D as "Sonic goes faster than any game has ever gone. Press up the whole time and watch as you can't see anything at all but regularly hear the ring noise, along with the "lost all your rings" noise".

I like that it went back to its roots. It reminds me a lot of Super Mario World, which in my opinion is the best in the franchise.

From a technical standpoint, the Wii is garbage. Everything but the motion sensing is way behind the trend.

I prefer the 'dashboard' easy to get to everything and you can move shit around :dunno:
    Ideal for piracy :o
Built in SD card reader too which I beleive the PS3 dropped and the 360 never had. Support for older peripherals which MS didn't bother with at all and Sony made a weak arse attempt towards.

It was never about pushing the boundries on graphical processing though, it proved well marketed innovation sells better  It was also relatively cheap even if it was the cheapest to make.

I play the 360 11ty times more but I appreciate what the Wii was for and what it did :wiggle:

PS3 and 360 is just a PC in a pretty box :dunno:

I hope it has its challenging moments but overall has the fun of a mario game and takes some time.

I beat New Super Mario Bros in one sitting...which was disappointing.

I went back and tried to get everything, and play every board but I really wasnt missing much as far as levels go. I think it was about 2 hours to beat it completely and that was disappointing. Still a fun game but if this one is lengthy, a little harder, and has the multiplayer fun - I'm going to love it.

Very excited for this one - I know I'll be playing the hell out of COD when it comes out so I might hold off on getting it for a little bit. I want to be able to spend some time playing. My girlfriend loved NSMB on DS, so we're going to have fun playing this one together.
