Broke through my plataue tonite. Previous squat PR was 305. Tonite I squatted 315x2 then said fuck it and got 325. Felt really nice since I've been stuck at 305 for quite a while now. This brings me just that much closer to a 1000lb total which is what I would absolutely love to hit at my first Powerlifting Meet.

    Current Lifts are:

    Bench - 200
    Dead - 425
    Squat- 325

I still need to add 50lbs on there to hit 1k. The meet is March 19th so I'm optomistic but at the same time realistic. This meet will be a learning experience for the most part.

i wouldve that you were my brother if that bench was higher. your other two lifts are pretty much exactly the same as his.

5'6.5 at 220 right now. I cut from 255-195 and like an idiot lost the little muscle I had so now I am bulking.

Squat 350 last night. Lifts are currently at:

    Squat - 350
    Dead - 435
    Bench - 205

Only 10lbs till I break 1,000lbs which is something I've been working towards for a while now.

Good job man! My last PR on squat was 315lbs last year when I weighed 10lbs more than I do now :(

It'll come in time. My bench is absolutely shit but I've honestly only been lifting seriously since last may/june or around there.

    GJ bro :bigthumb:
Not really knocking ya but your numbers seem all over the place. 220 is good for your height but you're not even benching your bw. DL seems pretty good too though

Any reason other than you just don't like bench? i.e shoulder injury, bad form....?

Out of interest what sort of $$ you pay for a lifting coach? Or is a club thing?

Get up on the platform man. You'd be suprised how much easier it is than gym lifts. I maxxed out on deadlifts on Jan 24th, at the meet 18 or so days later, I pulled a 43 lb PR

Bench felt like a ton though

These lifts are with a belt on dead/squat. My coach gave me a squat suit though.. its a bit big but he wants me to give it a go just so that I can learn what a suit feels like. Squatted with knee wraps for the first time tonite.. fucking weird feeling but I got 325x2 pretty easy.

He is a "trainer" but he is also the gym owner. They are actually hosting the pl meet I'll be attending. He charges umm 45/hr but he has yet to charge me full. We met for well over an hr today but charged me for 15 cause we "bullshit for a while." The guy is super nice and goes way above and beyond what he is required to, giving me a squat suit to try for example.

    Well I broke 1,000 tonite!

Pulled 455 tonite. Wasn't the prettiest lift but PR's never are. Actually pulled it twice. The first time was really really ugly and I wasn't happy so I pulled it again and it was a bit less ugly that time.

Brings my total up to 1010! Now my next goal is just to make it through my first meet and hopefully go 9 for 9.

Having a coach is quite possibly the best thing ever.

Yeah and considering he is basically going to walk me through my first meet... he is a life saver and a huge motivator.

Hah yeah... my squat is finally starting to move though..... as for my bench... ugh lets not go there. On the bright side I can't really complain since I've only been seriously training since last may.
