    "New Skin" Question

How many "layers" do you guys use? I have a really bad mat burn on one of my feet that won't stop opening up and/or bleeding. Finally got around to buying some of this stuff... any input?

i do 2 - 4 layers. It comes off depending on the area of the body.

do a few layers a gauze pad and tape.

Result: Put 4 layers on. Came off w/i 2 minutes, as I expected.

Put it on before I left because of the antiseptic. it burned. band-aided now.

    Oh well. :dunno:

I use that shit for work when I get cuts, it doesn't stay for very long :o

I use superglue instead, shit works wonders.

superglue always gets all over my hands and stuff when I put it on. :o plus it can't be too healthy to put in open cuts. :dunno: I like the antiseptic properties of NS.

I use band aids, then wrap in tape.

I love liquid band-aids. They're similar to new skin, but more like medical super glue. There's also this band-aid brand blister prevention thing. It looks like a tiny stick of deodorant. Some times when balls of my feet are pretty tender and about to blister I rub some of that stuff on and its great.

Can't wrap too much on my feet, and it's always come off eventually. I roll for a long time. :o

The deodorant like stuff? It dries pretty quick and isn't slippery at all.

Can't find any that will adhere well when the area is wet/sweaty.

:hahano: I mean the sweat builds up under it while it is on. The only thing that will stick is a waterproof bandaid.

I'd rather not put the added stress on my knees. Plus it's just an added expense. :dunno: Some guys in my school use them, though.
