I like it, tho I dont really like the "next" and "last" with a thumbnail of the next photo, breaks the cleanliness of the site???

I agree. Ive been trying to make that disapear but can't find the option. still looking into it.

edit: i am an idiot and completely missed it. figured it out and they be gone now but theres no space between next and last now which kind of annoys me.

Agreed.Id actually like to get rid of the photoname all togehter. Still need to modify the style sheet to get the text to match the rest of the page.

what is the is that gallery software? Is this all custom CSS or some content mangement driven site? :x: I am looking to redo my site completely as well, but I ALMOST, don't want to use Gallery software, because the database can get hosed. :hs:

Google Gallery2. The site I coded with HTML and a bit of java script and then modified (very easy) the gallery template so that it would display it within my site. It is database driven and makes uploading and managing stuff realyl easy. theres also a ton more option sthat i disabled because i want a simpler look

You can do better with Gallery 2 as far as integrating it into your layout Pelf, I think you can make it a bit classier looking if that makes sense. Also, fwiw, see if you can remove the login link from the photo portion. Is the views, date, and file name information that you want visible from a portfolio style site? Just doesn't seem necessary and adds clutter. Just thinkin from the point of view that you may distribute this page to people who you'd want as possible customers or something along those lines, yanno?

I agree completely. I have been trying to find a way to remove the login/views/owner/filenames/etc. but still am trying to figure that out on the template as far as how to do that. I deffinetly do not want to keep that on there. Im also trying to figure out how to change the text size.

Do you know specifically how to do this?

I don't Pelf. I *just* started migrating to Gallery v2 myself, which gives you a ton of more options regarding skinning. My suggestion would be just to search the forums on their site or make a post over there. I guartnee its somewhat of a common request. Did you install all of the skins with the full install? You may want to play with those and see if theres something that'll suit the layout better that you'd be able to just tweak the colors with. I mean shit, its worth a shot.

I have used Gallery2 for my own site, the problem is that with Dreamhost, and the problems they have had in the past, I am not sure I want to go to something database driven...I mean I like how you can somewhat easily put it in the site, but it slows down performance I think. :dunno:
