15 round mags ftw.
No DAK no care
about 50 bucks.
dao sucks donkey balls
I was not impressed with the DAK. Comparatively the HK LEM trigger felt better and was definately a lighter pull then the DAK trigger.
Outstanding 228 though. One of these day's I'll have to pick one up.
i'm seriously considering a 229. loved how it felt. sigs are teh sessy.
She's beautiful. I can't wait to get mine.
Is that rust in the first pic
I'm sorry you must be looking for the XD thread. It down the hall and to the left.
i was thinking the same thing.... right near the takedown lever..
so I am not the only one who sees it
I used to think the same thing, until I got into a shooting. Now my personal preference is DAO. That said, I have the 226R in .357. great fucking gun, didn't realize what I was missing out on.
There is no rust on my gun.
Consistant trigger pull for the win!
nice gun, but its no Glock, thats for sure
What is the rust colored substance in the first pic?
It's not there right now.
Looks like the incandescent light in the background reflecting off the bottom of the slide lock notch. That spot tends to polish itself very quickly. You can see more of the light reflecting off the table in the lower left.
Not every gun rusts out of the box. If they did Springfield would sue for trademark infringement.
What's the reasoning behind change of heart?
Also, what is the 228 model? Difference from 226 and 229.
226 is a full size double stack model. Works best in its "classic" configuration, which is 9mm.
228 is a compact sized double stack 9mm.
229 is almost the same size as 228, but has a slightly beefier (and stainless) slide to handle .357 Sig and .40
Lots of people really like the 229 in .357
USSS and FAM use the 229 in .357 if that sort of thing matters to you.
i thought the 229 was the compact version of the 226. And I thought the 229 was also in 9mm.
no The 228 is the compact version to the 226. The 229 was made to handle .40 S&W. The 229 does come in 9mm, however it's a unnecessary because the 9mm does not need a full stainless steel slide.
