Picked up a new sig today, p232 sl. Went to look at a p226, but it was slightly used, and older. Will wait to order a new p226 in a month or so.

Figured I'd post a thread here too, since it got no love in the main forum. Not even any anti-gun trolling. :wtc:

Was looking for a 9mm, technically it qualifies...just 9mm kurz :squint:

Should be good times. Felt good in my hand, opted for the stainless over the blued one my dealer had in stock.

Post a report after you get it to the range. I've been thinking about picking one of those up.

My thread in the main forum for my Sig 229 DAK went 1.5 pages before a liberal pussy invaded it.

price on it was ~625, not sure if I'll carry it or not. I'll decide on that once I've gotten it to the range and tried it out.

You need to look at the pictures again, then.

When the barrel is pointing left, that button near the top front of the grips is the decocker.

so I'm assuming mag release is at the bottom of the mag, by the magwell?

and the slide catch is forward of the trigger guard?

Mag release is at the bottom. The slide catches when the mag is empty. The only way to release the mag is to pull back on the slide and let it go.

The lever near the front is for field stripping, pull it down, pull the slide all the way back, lift up slightly, and you can take the slide off.
