    Seen these on SH...

    MSRP in the mid/high $400's.

Kinda digging that first one. Might have to pick one up in 17HMR. I had one of the old ones, and it shot iight. Trigger kinda sucked, and the stock was complete garbage. Looks like those areas might have been much improved.......

    Wonder how much they weigh.....

If you could keep those around 7# all up, it would be awesome.

Second could be ok...... Dremel off that shit on the side, and rock the extended rail.

Fuck... I think I've about talked myself into a 17HMR version.

I'd rock that first one, depending on how much it weighed.

Proper Kentucky vernacular would be "see'd" or "saw'd"

Still wish that every rimfire would sport Rugers mag design. The rotary is nearly impossible to top.

+ agree on some sort of standard bottom metal + trigger. Imagine if you had all kinds of .22s with 10/22 compatiable stocks, mags, barrels, etc. bolt or semi It would be awesome

I like that first one, the second one looks all sorts of fucked up with that rail 'thing' on there.

If you actually hunt varmints with it at night I can see that side rail being VERY useful.

Can't know... I've never had a CZ 17HMR, nor one of these savages. My 452 shoots exceptionally, after dropping it into a McMillan stock. I think the only "problem" area cockblocking them is the goofy barrel lug arrangement which skews pressure. A little bedding and that should clean right up.

For the money though.... This Savage looks like it comes with a decent stock pattern, and a decent trigger (though the CZ can be made good for $20). Assuming the stock construction itself isn't garbage, I could see these being possibly a better value than the CZ if the A3'ish pattern is your kinda thing. In all likelihood, both will need to be bedded/floated to reach their potential and at that point it will be 6 on way/half dozen another.
