new routine, your thoughts please

    Day 1 - Chest/Tris

    Barbell or Dumbell Bench Press- 5x5
    Incline Dumbell Bench Press - 4x8
    Flies - 3x12

    Skullcrushers w/ EZ-Bar - 3x12 each set is directly followed by:
    Reverse-Grip Close-Grip Bench Press - till Failure

    Day 2 – Legs
    Squats - 5x5
    Weighted jump squats – 4x8
    One legged Calf Raises - 3x12

    Day 3 - rest

    Day 4 – Back/Bis

    Wide Grip Pull-ups - how ever many you can do x 4
    Deadlifts – 5x5
    Bent-over Rows - 4x8

    Bi's
    Incline Curls - 2 x 6-8<<superset>>EZ-bar curls - 2 x 6-8

    Day 5 – rest


    Day 6 – Legs/delts

    Front Squats - 5x5
    Stiff-Legged Deadlift - 4x8
    Clean and press 6x4


    Day 7 - Rest

    I'll admit, I opened this thread ready to flame but.........

    I wouldn't do jump squats, put some single leg work in there instead. More rowing, either do some cable rows or even lat pulldowns after your bent over rows, something to equal out the pressing.

    Other than that, looks good to me.

    would wieghted lunges be a good replacement for jump squats? and also, any particular reason not to do them?

    Yeah, the lunges will work. As far as the jump squats, I just don't believe in them and they just fucked w/ my knees

    Personally I would move front squats to the same day as standard squats. Do them with a slightly higher rep scheme. Then make your second leg day devoted more to hamstrings.

    squating twice a week wouldnt be ideal?
