So I discovered the inside out guys are located in Indy just down the road from me. http://indianapolisfitnessandsportstraining.com/ They've got cages, chains, dead-lift platforms, big dumbbells, prowler, etc. No bullshit, curls in teh squat rack, etc.

Set up a time and did my assessment this morning with Bill. Good shit. Pretty much standard physical therapy type measurements on the table with some other stuff. Internal/external rotation on various joints, body fat calipers, etc. He had me squat and do some balance movements to see how I compensate for lack of flexibility in some areas. He's got a couple interns so I got to hear him explaining how a lot of it works.

Good news is that despite all the shoulder pain I've got the ideal shoulder/hip structure for pitching. In fact he told the interns if someone wants to be a pro and doesn't have my range I've got, to tell them it's not going to happen. Unfortunately I've got the glute recruitment and short hamstrings of a retarded Stephen hawking. This explains why I can hit 100mph serves but yet still suck at tennis.

Set up for weekly sessions, I'll keep you all posted.

Day 1: Intern girl rocked my anus. I can squat, bench, row, deadlift, etc. I could barely do any of the shit they had me do. It was like going back in time to high school conditioning.

Start off with some foam roll, IT band, back, hams, etc. Then into some ground work, so glute bridges, planks, pushup+, etc. All centered around either scapula/rear shoulder or glute activation.

Then several split step (lunge) movements and glute work. One arm rows in a split step, one arm push in split step, pull throughs, etc. Rowing like 20lbs while in a split step turned me into a 13 year old girl.

Then some basic scapula and rotator cuff work, 15 minutes of cardio, and rdl/hang stretch for the hams. Solid hour and a half total.

All of this works stuff that I have zero strength in (which is obviously the point) to give me a base and stretch the right shit out. Everyone there really knew their shit.

I'm literally going to eat steak and lay on the couch all day long today.

Ran through day 2 last week. Definitely kicked my ass again, but wasn't quite as bad. Highlights:

Normal warm up foam roll stuff, with glute bridges, planks, etc.

Box squats with a band around your knees, then squat wide. Definitely awesome. If you're having problems "spreading the floor" and keeping your knees solid, or more importantly you have shitty glutes, this will rock your anus. Highly recommended.

Step ups, chest, more split step rows, etc. Cardio and then hanging deadlift stretch that I don't know the name of.

    deadlift/squat barefoot > *

they don't let me olympic lift yet though as I've got to fix some shit first

Nike free's and chucks are pretty popular there, everyone is on the front of the adoption curve

I'd much rather wear chucks than lift barefoot.

I turn into a retarded 13 yo girl while in split squat. We did a round of one hand rows in split squat with intern girl pulling me from the waist with a large band, unpossible. I'm rowing like 30 lbs about to lose my shit  They make me do pretty much anything they can come up with while in split squat.

At this rate I'll be playing 3rd string long snapper for the colts in no time! :h5:
