Bought it off the old man.

    40xxx original miles. Full receipts/history since 69.

253ci v8 with 3 on the tree, will make way for a 308 or 350 soon.

It's completely original and in amazing condition considering it's a 1969 model and never been rebuilt.. motor has never been opened.. all parts are totally original and virgin, and it starts first go, purs like a kitten, and drives beautifully.

    absolutely awesome project mate

how much power do those 253's make? Even a 308 will be lucky to put down much over 170rwhp.

No idea tbh. This is alien territory for me. Reading up as much as I can though.

Going to see a local guy soon who has a lot of experience with older holdens.. so I guess i'll see what his advice is motor-wise. We just want a tough but reliable streeter really.. nothing too crazy.. but enough to tickle the seat of your pants..

Yeah, realistically it will be don't worry. Just gotta get an idea of the costs of the various options and pick one.

You could go a chevy engine too, but stick with GM

I would love to see a LS3 or something like that under the hood :o

308 stroked to 355 or 383 with big cam, flowed heads and a tko600 box running 3.9 diff gears would be very nice...

to do all that would be looking $20k plus ($au)
