New progress pics.

    I took some new progress pics. Most recently taken pics are on the left. Older pics are on the right. This is 8 months progress. Pic on the left is at 184, pic on the right is at 181. I haven't gained any weight in about 2.5 months, but I noticed I'm still seeing muscle development in certain areas.

    Also someone want to tell me why my traps arent growing? I've seen berely any progress with them.

    there is some obvious lat development but honestly i think you could have accomplished a lot more in 8 months. You've only gained 3 lbs and your bodyfat looks pretty similar in both pictures...if anything i think you are slightly leaner in your older pic.

    you could keep going at this pace but it's going to be a very sloooow process. I think you need to up your calories considerably and just accept a little fat gain if you want to get results quicker.

    Yeah I don't want to gain any more fat though. My gut is startin to stick out and thats the last thing I want is for it to stick out more.

    I was actually thinking about cutting but then I'm going to be scrawnier than I already am. So I'm at that "what the fuck do i do?" stage. :(

    Dam I didn't even see your first reply.

    If I could get rid of this gut and take some of the flab from my chest then I would just keep bulking. But my gut sticks out as far as my chest does. :ugh: I already cleaned up my diet and it didnt help my gut that much. I'm 6' and I'd like to make it to around 200 or so to see how I look, then cut but I don't want to bulk through summer. But then again I don't want to cut either because I don't want to be smaller than i already am.

    I saw someone post their pic on here before and ultimately I want a physique like his. I think his username is cedric. Acura tl-s doesnt look bad either (pre-bulk :) )I'm not really lookin to look like jay cutler or ronnie coleman or anyone like that, even though it is impressive.

    I would eat bagels from dd every morning and for lunch I would eat at wendys everyday because its closest to my work. But I cut that shit out and I cut out the other junk food i would occasionally snack on throughout the day.

    I started eating more veggies, 90/10 lean ground beef, all skinless chicken breast, a little bit of tuna here and there when I feel like shoving it down my throat (i hate tuna) salads and other stuff. I guess in the process I started taking in less cals than I did when I was dirty bulking, but now I'm taking in way less fat than before.

    Yeah I know my posture sucks. I'm gonna give those t-nation exercises a try but I'm skepticle. Has anyone actually seen good results from those exercises, or any other posture exercises?

    I don't eat the donuts, those are my mom's. She is a junkfood master.

    I disagree, he doesnt need to eat more to see progress.
    I think its his lifting/routine.


    OP- Is your lifting max effort? do you do any chest?

    I would say up the calories a lot along with protein, you're lean already, that's not really a gut, but you really didn't make any progress in 8 months (being honest, not trying to be mean)

    yeah, only gaining 3 lbs in 8 months has nothing to do with lack of progress. It's definetely the routine

    In 8 months I've gained 34 lbs. These pics were just showin my progress from when i was 181, a couple months ago. I probably should have said that in my first post. :doh:

    Ok, so the pictures posted earlier are over the past few months when you haven't gained yet. Makes sense then. Answer is still the same, eat more.

    For traps, what are you currently doing for them?

    I work them with my shoulders. This is what my routine looks like.

    Seated db military press - 3 sets of 8
    Upright rows - 3 sets of 8
    Side lateral raises - 3 sets of 8
    Rear Delt Flys - 3 sets of 8
    Face pulls - 3 sets of 8
    Barbell Shrugs (just started doing power shrugs) - 3 sets of 8 and then next time i do them i do 3 sets of 15.
    Also do deadlifts but i do those with my back.

    I work everything 2 times a week.

    Lats look bigger but it could be because your arms were a bit higher in the 181 pic...(they look a tad higher...)

    erector spinea look better but that could be because you're more tanned


    How often are you hitting your traps? If you're only hitting them once... try hitting them twice a week.

    upper body looks good. Would be nice to see a little more muscle in the midsection but there could ever easily be plenty, just covered up by bf.

    Pics of legs?

    overall 8 month progress looks great. good job. Between the pics in the first post I'd say you haven't really changed much, I guess switch up your routine? :dunno:

    I've only been squatting and deadlifting for a little over 3 months or so. My numbers are still pretty shitty. I don't max on any of my lifts but for bench I do 185 for 6. I squat 175 for 8 but I go a2g 100% of the time. I've never gone just parallel. And for deadlift I pull 225 for 8. I haven't deadlifted in 2 weeks though because I have a pain in my lower back whenever I flex it.

    I'm not sure how big my arms are, I've never had them measured. I don't feel they're big enough to be worth measuring.

    Anyone have any idea what bf% I'm at? I was thinking 13%.
