If all goes well with the application process 2 of my close friends and I will be moving into this 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment in the art district of NOrth HOllywood. It is brand new. There is a pool/spa/small workout room/party room with full kitchen/bbq area on the roof.

we can do what we want with the patio area (the area that surrounds our apartment obviously)

rent is 2595/month plus utilities, the only thing they pay for is trash.
3 parking spaces in an underground garage

we are allowed to paint the walls.

looking for tips on decorating etc. paint colors to go with the kitchen and floors.

i'll be doing a play by play if we get the place.

    why do you say that?

ease of access 170-101-134 fwy's (really good for me because i'm always going to different locations for work)

walking distance to the subway station which means no hassle with traffic to get to downtown.

walking distance from a bunch of great play houses, bars, restaurants etc.

I agree that some parts of noho suck, we looked at a few, but this place really is in the best possible location to live in NoHo

edit: and I'm not actually buying it, my roomate/best friend who is getting the master bedroom (only room a king will fit in and still have room for anythign else) is going to buy it for me in exchange for my current king size memory foam matress and bed frame/headboard.

the room and board bed is nice, but make sure that you don't use it with a boxspring; it's not meant for one.

It'll allow you to use a lot of metal accents in your room :coold:

any pictures of the way your bed looks in your room, and how tall are you?

i'm 6'1" and i feel like I would probably need the extra 6 inches that a queen would give in length.

I can't help but feel that the chartreuse in the cabinet would really have made much more of an impact had you painted the walls a different color. I love lime green, but seems a bit much for a bathroom :hs:

I'm more of a mid city (and surrounding areas) kid, I guess... I spent a lot of time in my teenage years in the valley, too...

    oh shit

I thought that there was a clear glass front and that the shelves inside it were white and the interior painted the same color as the walls. optical illusion! :eek3:
