Picked up my Sig P226 today. I've shot these in the past before in 9mm and .40 and love their feel. Didn't intend on buying a gun but I'm very satisfied with my purchase.:wavey: Can't wait to bring it out to the range, I usually have nice groupings with a sig.:x:

Better pics of the slide? Is that a stainless model from Germany? Looks like it has the double roll pins, but I did not know they had them in the stainless.

Shot it today, shit tons better than my sigma (of course) but the sights are off about 1-1.5 inches to the left, that's fine though as I'm ordering night sights for it so it doesn't bother me. Also decided to upgrade the grips, I wasn't diggin' the plastic too much, or the torque screws.:hs:

what kind of better pics do you want? and it's a sig, so ya it's German.:dunno: It says Exeter NH on the side as well, the main US importer? It's stainless, but I duno if it has double roll pins. I duno that much about sig sauers, yet.:hs: I bought it due to past experience with shooting them from buddies who own them.

Those are the rosewood grips that come on the Elites. Shot the hell out of my Sig 226 two-tone Elite today! :wavey: Excellent choice, you won't regret owning a P226.

Your making me want to ignore the P7 and have an affair with a 226 with rosewoods.

Polygamy is the best option: treat both equally. Thats my plan for when I get the coin to pick up a P7.

Nice gun and as much as I like wood grips, I do not care for them on the black Sigs.

No, I believe your Sig may be one of the later ones made in the US otherwise the slide should say made in Germany. Look under the frame on the barrel shroud and you can definitely tell if there is a date code or the German proofs.

For example, mine has both proofs and says "KA" as well as the slide indicating "Made in W. Germany." THe double roll pins will be barrel pins and you will see two; one will be on the inside of the outer pin. Yours made be the one piece that does not look hollow.

They're the walnut grips directly from sig. Not as nice as the rosewood but I didn't see those for sale on the sig site, I wish I had the rosewood.:hs:

    Free gun.:mamoru:

I think plastic grips on a metal gun look tacky. :dunno: But regardless, the plastic grip with its texture would rub my tumb wrong and cause a small blister, same problem with my other gun which is a tupperware POS. the wood grips are thicker and it's smooth on the backside of the grip. That for me=no more blisters.

lol. I'll have my buddy who should be a sig rep check it out, that's how I intend on learning about sigs is through him.:o
