A&P New pics, positive critiquing wanted

    Both are from a beach on Lake Ontario. The one that looks like s desert is all ice. I am kinda upset that you can't really tell what your looking at. But other then that I think they came out decent.

    Personally I think that the sand/sky shot should always be colour to show the contrast. They just seem...samey? What HB said really :|

    the 2nd one is better, but I might have taken a different perspective and had the fence more of the subject running diagonall through the frame leading you towards something.

    try to get more contrast with the pics, everything is redered middle gray, theres no whites or blacks

    They were taken in black and white.

    I cut the tree all the way to the left out in the beach one now and it helped the contrast a little bit. The image is a bit flat so I messed with the curves a little bit but doesnt seem to be helping.

    I dunno to me it looks like the sand is unnaturally dark. I dunno. What did you do to the image?

    pics are pretty much worthless if you cant tell what you are looking at

    Up the contrast, a lot. The sky and land just seem to blend together.

    they are a bit washed out. Up the contrast like everyone else said.

    This weekend I am going to go find some things to take pictures of that will give me more contrast....hard to get contrast when taking a picture of snow, ice and clouds. I guess that scene wasnt meant for black and white. haha
