Just installed this weekend; put about 250 miles on it since then. At crusing speeds, mileage has actually improved. it's hard to believe with 60lb/hr injectors I can pull 33mpg + at 75mph. Twin Turbo LS1 + 6-Speed = a damn good time...

Currently running 5.5-6 psi and it's PIG rich. The way we figure it, the AFR is in the 9's... WAY to much fuel. So, I'm going to lean it out till I get 11.5:1 or so. First is amazingly useless (was before, honestly) and it'll melt the tires away when the boost hits in 2nd gear. The system is rated for 760hp (turbo flow limited). I can't wait to see what it does when it's properly tuned for 8-9psi.

it works... quite well actually :)

Simply use a smaller AR ratio and the turbo's will spool nicely. STS actually has an upgrade that uses an even TIGHTER AR... provides spool about 500 RPM earlier...

Going to run... back in an hour or so.

I'm installing a leaner tune tonight and will take it out to monitor some AFR numbers. Don't expect any HP numbers anytime soon. I'm only planning on having it dyno tuned once... and that's happening after I go to 8-9psi. To do that, I need a clutch and a bigger fuel system/pump to supply the motor. That'll happen this summer, I hope :wavey:

In a few weeks, I'm goign to pull the headers and put on stock Z06 manifolds and a catless h-pipe. Supposedly, I won't see many gains at all with the longtubes I'm running, so I can recoupe some of the costs that way.

Cost is just one part though. Since I can't wrap my Jet-hot coated headers with exhaust wrap, I want to switch to a good stock setup so I can wrap them. Reason: energy into the turbine wheel (spool efficiency) is directly related to enthalpy of the exhaust... which is directly related to exhaust temp's. The LT's coating will peal and will eventually ruin the headers (not good on a system that was $1500+ new). With the stockers, I'll have no problem wrapping them... so I'm perfectly fine wraping them :)

The rep from Jet-Hot said their coating isn't made to be more than 1300 degrees for any length of time. When I wrap the exhaust, he said I'll see higher temps by several hundred degrees.

fear not Brett, you'll drive this setup as well. There's no better way to advertise a product than test drives :wavey:

you'll have to excuse my ignorance with the rear mounted turbos...

how does the intake work? youve got intercooler pipes spanning the entire lenght of the car? isnt the pressure drop insane?

It runs intake piping the entire length of the car. As far as pressure drop, most of the piping is straight, so I assume it's minimal.

'Vette Doctors just netted 617rwhp at 7psi with a mild heads/cam setup... not a bad gain at all
