Alright so I sold my iPhone because I needed something that was a lot LOUDER.

I'm in the market for a new phone and I'm having trouble between the Blackjack II and Blackberry 8310. I'm on AT&T so these are kind of my only two options. I like them both but I'm not so fond of the lack of 3G on the blackberry.

Any suggestions? Im not sure how loud the blackjack is, I've been looking at reviews but if it's too low then i have to count it out.

The BlackJack is so so, I guess it depends on how you are going to use the phone. I'd say get the BlackBerry 8820, it's louder than the curve and has a lot better over all build quality.

Im a mac user so windows mobile isn't really that useful to me. I can use the missing sync but still. I think I'm going to just got with the 8820 or 8310. I think i can sacrifice the camera.

When you're on AIM or any other chat client, does it keep you connected like a sidekick, or kick you off.

I have used the BB messenger and it leaves you on. I have not tried AIM.

Louder? Like ringtone wise? Installing your own MP3s as a ringtone makes it MUCH louder then the factory ringtones (if you need it to be even louder you can alter the volume level of the MP3 before loading it on the iPhone).

Is the gps telenav only, or can it be used with google maps for free?

I kinda miss the GPS on my old phone but have the factory GPS in my car now. With Sprint you could hack the Java file and make it so the applications didn't expire. I used mainly Garmin Mobile on the phone but also had TeleNav and a couple other GPS apps. Worked well but it's not something I would have paid monthly for.

I bought the curve but I honestly didn't like it. I switched it out for the Blackberry and so far I'm very impressed. It's very much not liking my mac though. I need to buy the missing sync.

I think he means the 8820. I have the 8820 and 8310 and like the 8820 better due to the much stronger battery life.

I did not like the 8820 keyboard and the lack of a camera was a deal-breaker.
