Not really new as I have been a member since Sep. 2003 but never have really introduced myself here... guess that makes me a lurker.

    Equipment details:
    Canon EOS 1D MKII N
    Canon EOS Rebel XT

    Canon 70-200/2.8 IS L
    Canon 50/1.4
    Tokina 19-35/4-5.6
    Canon 420ex
    Sunpak 120-J (x2)

Photography is for fun. Design for print and web pay the bills, just quit my job of 5 years to freelance full time.

Crap to most people on here, but it does fine for me. I love looking at scenic pictures and live in Utah, a place with a LOT to capture.

I am a computer science student and own a diabetes management company.

I'm looking at buying those exact lenses this weekend :eek3: You say you're happy with them, so are they pretty good?

Oh, and I guess I haven't introduced myself either, really.

Currently have an XTi with the kit lens and a 55-200mm Canon lens. Just do photography for fun. Took a couple classes in high school with film SLR's and learned the basics there, and now just use the knowledge to have fun, I guess. :)

Been doing photography for a few years, but wanting to get back into it seriously. Just as a hobby. I have too much vision, and not enough action. Got some extra money and time so it's nice to be able to get some gear and get out.

Plus I hate the state of photography on internet forums, so I don't post much, or post my own stuff, because it always ends badly, but I'm addicted to reading them

I became interested in photography about 4 years ago through my wife (she has a degree in photography). Since then we've worked together setting up a studio. We mainly photograph babies, maternity and seniors but this summer we photographed our first wedding. All of our business is from word of mouth. We both have "regular" jobs and do this on the side to supplement our income.

Hey there, you can call me mike if you would like, instead of my SN.. im only just turning 16 in a couple of months, so i cant exactly say i have experience on my hands yet

I have 2 cameras, 1 is my dads (Canon A1 with Quantary 70-210MM and Canon 50MM, and a point and shoot (Canon Powershot G1) Im getting ready to get a new camera..As you can see, I have always used Canon, therefore im trying to get a Canon Digital Rebal XT instead of the Nikon D40.(those are my choices for my b-day gift)

Im just getting into Photography, my dad used to be quit into it, he went to lots of races (F1, Indi, Nascar, and some other random car races) he has gotten some great pics from that old A1, wich is what I use when we go places like the San Diego Zoo... but I always end up hauling that dang G1 around with the tripod so that i dont waste a ton of film... wich is the reason I would really like to get a new DSLR.

  23. same goes for me here. doing lots of freelance web, dvd, and media work, but i'm still a full-time student as well. photography just for fun too. do you count your lenses on your tax write-offs? i shoot stock photos for my design projects and web projects for clients, so i'm not sure if i can or not.

    nikon D70
    nikon nikkor 17-70mm f/4-5.6
    nikon nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6 (sold)
    sigma 28-80mm f/4-5.6
    sigma 55-200mm f/4-5.6

hoping to find a good nikon 50mm f/1.8 soon
