I'm not a major hardware junkie, and this'll be my first time building a PC. A friend of mine who is into PC hardware built this for me and told me it'd do pretty well. Another friend told me to go Intel, specifically Core 2 Duo. He also said I should wait a week to buy the PC since Intel is going to have price cuts on July 21st.

Anyway, how is the PC I linked? How will it be able to run future games such as Bioshock and Crysis? Could I run Crysis in DX10 without having troubles with my framerates?

get a better proccessor that will be the killer of the whole computer. as a amd junkie I would recomend the 5200+: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103759 . and with it you can safly overclock it to the speed of the 6000+ of 3.0ghz and have an awesome system. the intel fanboys will cry foul, but the 5200+ when overclocked is just as powerful as the $219.99 e6600 from intel.

only other changes I would recomend is better memory aka namebrand like corsair or ozc. and biostar doesn't make the best motherboards. I would recomend asus.

I have made many recommendations in many threads. This build, however, is so craptastically shitty that it would require replacement of 90% of it's components and that's simply not worth my time.

For the computer alone, my budget is roughly $800. I plan to keep my speakers, keyboard/mouse, and my 19"CRT (I like it tbqh).
