new monitor/video card help

    I am looking to go with the dell 2005fpw 20"

    how do I tell what video card I have and if it will work good with this monitor?

    Go to start>run and type "dxdiag" then click the display tab, and tell us the name/manufacturer of your card.

    does this sound like the card?

    intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller

    you're not going to be able to play games at anywhere near the native resolution of that monitor with integrated fx. upgrade to a real video card.

    Yeah. Integrated graphics. :sad2:

    You might be able to run a 2005fpw at 1280x768 if you get lucky, but it's native resolution of 1680x1050 is probably out of the question. :sad2:

    You might want to put a new video card into consideration.
