yes i operate stores. build them from the ground up, test em, launch em, maintain them.

im looking to outsource the data entry part, but its tough since indians are like computers, they dont know shit about product attributes unless you instruct them whats what

    Nice.

Do you actually learn anything from them? Or is it one of those "just for the cert" things?

those zend cert tests are fuckin crazy hard

you have to be like a professional programmer with atleast 7 years hardcore OOP experience. i just started out when i will be 1337 zend framework will prolly be obsolete but ill keep that in mind

what other types of framework are there out there?

i only know of cake and zend

if you have some programming experience you may just learn a thing or 2 from these courses.

to answer your question truthfully i just did it so it would look nice on my resume at first, but then i was like  when i started doing shit on my own

I highly doubt that. New versions are continuously being developed to accommodate new versions of PHP and improve the frameworks. These days, there are all kinds of PHP frameworks. I work mainly with CI and occasionally with Cake. Other popular frameworks are Symfony, Fuse, Akelos... There are shitloads. Look them up and see what works best for you.

I have confidence they're really helpful getting the newbies started off on the right foot. Not to mention, the resume spots could assist them in getting a job. Oreily makes great books. I have no doubt their educational system is competent as well.

QFT. That is why the Zend PHP cert is the best one you can get. It's like comparing Network+ to a CCNP cert. It's a lot harder with more core information to know, but it is worth the money/time you put into it.

    Good luck. :hs:

From what I've heard, it'll be difficult to get your hands around if you're not familiar with Zend.

Mostly my customers are smaller businesses with no web sites or old outdated sites that want basic 5 page sites with basic pages

I have done 2 ecommerce sites, one was a redesign and he used yahoo and all I had to do was plug in the yahoo generated code

and recently the zen cart one

I will not turn customers away that want an ecommerce site, but rather not do them
