I picked this up Monday, and so far I have no complaints. It's everything I wanted/needed and more. Lots of power (compared to the SVTF anyways), great handling, comfy interior, lots of cargo room...it's just a great little car. I added a few appearance things so far (not bad for 1 day of ownership), and a few performance things are already in the mail. Anyways, here's some photos from yesterday and today:

The HIDs are a 6000K conversion kit from XenonDepot, and the foglight covers are from Headlight Armor.

I'll clean it up a bit the next day I can...they sprayed so much tire shine on this thing that it got all over the sides of the car LOL. Then I'll try to take some better quality pictures. Hope you like!

Congrats on the new ride! Did you leave the bumper on the ground without a towel under it?!? :nono:

It actually never touched the ground...it was hanging there pretty well, and it wasn't like that for long. Believe me, I checked :)

Very nice. I saw a white one the other day and loved it.

Also, I like the fact that you have balls to pull the bumper off and put hid's on within one day of ownership. Legendary

    Nice ride!

As for tire shine...dealers do lay it on pretty heavy, and on white cars can cause 'yellow spots' on the paint. When I took delivery on my GTP, the tires were dripping with the stuff. I pointed this out to the salesman, and he had the detail guy take a towel to 'em.

You'd think a detail guy would know that...of course, most dealerships don't want to pay for a good one.

Why didn't you just option factory HID's? Or is that not an option in america?

It comes standard on the GT model, but isn't an option for the sport version. Out of all the extras between the sport and the GT I only wanted the HIDs. I wasn't interested in leather seats, LED taillights, 6 CD changer, auto wipers, etc. I didn't see the point in paying $2k more for something I could just do myself for under $200.

So far, nothing much. I'm going to try to space things out more so I force myself to hold on to the car longer than I usually do. So far I've ordered (and installed) the HIDs, the foglight covers, a Forge bypass valve (stock one leaks a bit), MSD DashHawk, and a Cobb Short-Ram Intake. The intake is on backorder, but I should be getting it in a week or so.

Ordered a Corksport midpipe and RPMC turbo inlet pipe this week as well. Think that'll be fine for this year. Next year I'm hoping to do the downpipe and cat-back exhaust and Cobb Access Port.

Hm, i hope you enjoy that car. streetunit.com is one of the few best places for ms3 parts. They even offer free shipping.

Bumping an old thread cause I never come in this forum. My dad just got one of these in the same color about 3 weeks ago.

How did you go about removing the side moldings? I hate them because dirt gets stuck all around them.

Also, why did you have to remove the front bumper to install the HIDs?

Thanks for the reply. My dad's is a lease so I probably won't do the moldings.

I had HIDs put into my Evo so I know it's not too hard to do.

:h5: Very nice, Crystal White Crew FTW. Thanks for posting where you got the foglight covers, I'm definitely ordering some for the RX. Great job on the HID install.
